Family History Sponsorship Levels

Founder’s level sponsors will be recognized by having their complete family history printed in the history book with up to 10 pages of text & photos.

Advocate level sponsors will be recognized by having their family history printed in the history book with up to 5 pages of text & photos.

Supporter level sponsors will be recognized with up to 2 pages of text & photos in the family history book.

Booster level sponsors will be recognized in a special section of the history book with one paragraph giving basic family details.

The FSTA Family History book will be a hard cover publication on glossy paper showing the family histories of the sponsor families along with other significant historical info from the mid 20th century to the present.

The intent is to show who had the foresight to establish a Four Seasons recreational area that will be forever dedicated to outdoor recreation for the free use by the general public.

Help FSTA make history in the St John Valley!!

The Four Seasons Trail Association (FSTA) is in process of developing a history of the various families and businesses of the St. John Valley area.  The publication will be compiled by volunteers as a fundraising effort in order to complete the purchase of the land on which the trails are located. 

To date, FSTA has been operating its trail system largely on land belonging to generous landowners who have allowed the trails to exist on their land.  In 2009 the group acquired 60 acres with the assistance of a grant from the Land for Maine’s Future (LMF) board. Recently an additional 40 acres were purchased which will be used as a part of a match for the grant. 

When completed the entire project may involve up to 400 acres that will be permanently designated for recreation for the free use of the general public.

The families who want to participate in the history book project will be asked to commit to a contribution of $200.00 to $1,000.00 per year for 5 years.  This will earn the family a certain amount of space to enter whatever information about the family’s evolution during the last ½ of the 20th Century. 

The intention is to document life as it was from the 50’s through the first decade of the 21st Century.  Smaller contributions will be recognized in the book as well.

Since the snowmobile & ATV trails are also located on this land the purchase will insure continued access to the town from the east and quite possibly an access to Fox Street for both motorized and non-motorized activities.

Every dollar raised will be used to match with a Land for Maine’s Future (LMF) grant.  This is entirely a volunteer effort and no person or company is taking an administrative fee to run the campaign so every dollar received will go toward the land purchase.
