Pascrell's Visit - In an effort to increase her students' awareness of the political process, Mrs. Anderson invited Rep. Bill Pascrell to her classroom. On 9/20/10, Pascrell arrived to discuss his career in politics and how he was once the mayor of Paterson. During his visit, he and Mrs. Anderson co-presented a lesson about New Jersey state facts to students in Mrs. Cherrie MacInnes' class in Maine, via Skype! This use of technology to create an awareness of one's role in society--and to broaden one's world view--is an example of "digital citizenship."
